Instructions for Installing sqmp3Gold on a New Computer

Everything can now be done online at sqmp3.com, including generating a new unlock code.

Prepare for install:

• On the old computer, go to the sqmp3Gold folder.
• Copy the ini and favorites folders to a USB drive.

Installation on the new computer:

• Deactivate your antivirus temporarily.
• Download the program from sqmp3.com.
• Install the program.
• Critical Installation Note: When installing the program, do not use the default folder (C:\Program Files\sqmp3 Gold or C:\Program Files (x86)\sqmp3 Gold). You must change the destination to C:\sqmp3Gold. If you install to the default location, some features of the program will not work correctly.
• Reactivate your antivirus.
• Copy the ini and favorites folders from the USB drive to the new sqmp3Gold folder (overwrite if prompted).
• Launch the program and click About > Register, then copy the machine code (Ctrl+C).

Regenerate your unlock code:

• Return to this page and fill in the form.
• To find your Previous Unlock Code, open sqmp3Gold\ini\newserialnumber.txt on the USB.
• Paste the new machine code in the last field of the form.
• Click "Generate New Unlock Code".
• In the program, go to About > Register and paste the new unlock code.
• Restart the program — it should now be fully registered.
